Course Goals
• To provide students with a better understanding and appreciation of the multicultural and multiracial world in which they live.
• To educate students about environmental conservation and its importance in sustaining global health and well being, improving the quality of life, and assisting developing countries.
• To provide students with the tools needed to explore the complex array of environmental, cultural, and social issues in the classroom.
• To foster teaching skills through applied learning programs in the community
• To consider and evaluate a variety of methods for dealing effectively with differences and conflicts in peaceful ways, and to provide opportunities for practicing the difficult skills of non-violent problem solving.
