Intro to Environmental Issues

This course serves as an introduction to and covers broad aspects of environmental studies. For all cases, the resulting environmental impacts and solutions are studied in detail. This course examines the environmental impact of water and natural resource management, renewable and non-renewable sources for power generation, global climate change, and sustainable agriculture.

Specifically this course examines the dependency of societies on energy resources and the interaction between social goals, economics, and environmental concerns.

In addition, human perspectives on global climate change are discussed and the effects of built and natural environments on human behavior; how people use and affect the physical environment and how individual and societal choices are shaped in the process.
